AT&T Fiber's 5 gig plan is XGS-PON, technically shared bandwidth, where as Gigabit Pro is typically a metro ethernet connection. It's theoretically better quality bandwidth and far less likely to ever experience a saturation\congestion issue compared with something shared like XGS-PON.I use Metronet and they are great. With Fiber you get consistent variables of upload and download. Xfinity may offer 1000 down but only 200 up whereas fibers for the same offers 1000 up and down.
